Care & Ownership

Handwash in lukewarm water with mild detergent and a soft sponge, keeping pieces apart in the sink. Rinse and dry with a soft, lint-free cloth. Support the bowl and stem together rather than twisting them in opposite directions while drying; store upright on the base with space between rims.

Maker / Heritage

Cuban-born designer Beatriz Ball began working with metal artisans outside Mexico City in 1991. Her signature metalware is still made one piece at a time in the brand’s own foundry in Mexico: sand casting gives the forms their character, and successive hand-polishing stages bring out the alloy’s silvery luster. More than twelve pairs of hands take part in the making. The appeal is that combination of expressive shape and useful purpose, with the warmth of handwork and none of silver’s routine tarnish polishing.

Aquarelle takes its cue from watercolor tints, combining fluting and jewel-like details with contrasting colors. The glasses are made by artisans one at a time for a table with a little playfulness.
